The kids had two weeks off from school for Christmas break. Dave took the two weeks off too, so we had a lot of family time. It was really nice and relaxing. We stayed up late almost every night and slept in until at least 8:30 every morning.
We enjoyed having Grandma and Grandpa Judi stay with us for a week after Nick was born. Grandpa and Dave finished cutting and laying all the tile in our entryway and kitchen.
Dave spent lots of hours grouting the tile too. To give the kids a little Christmas vacation, we went to Albuquerque and spent the night in the Embassy Suites (on January 3rd/4th). The kids went swimming twice and we got to go out to eat and do some shopping. It was a nice break.
January 7th the kids didn't have school, but Kate woke up with the stomach flu. Dave worked from home and I took the boys swimming at the fun swimming pool in Santa Fe.
During the break we also went the church and let the kids play basketball with their new basketball shoes. We also had some extra gym time at the YMCA with their basketball teams.
Nick went to the doctor when he was 8 days old for a checkup. He weighed 7 lbs 7 oz and looked great. He had a touch of jaundice, but otherwise was perfectly healthy.
